A car production factory in Northumberland is expecting to create up to 250 jobs following plans to build electric powered 4x4’s.
Oxford based company, Liberty Electric Cars, are hoping to port more than 1,000 electric powered Range Rovers a year following an investment of £30m, to benefit the region’s economy by approximately £120m a year.
The vehicles, which will have a 200 mile range will cost around £125,000, giving drivers who like to drive more luxury vehicles the option to become more environmentally friendly.
Liberty Electric Cars have commented that they have already been inundated with prospective orders from corporations; however it won’t be until the end of the year until the first adapted vehicle comes off the production line.
