Lower Premium, driving down the price of insurance

Bus pass cut backs

The government has decided to tighten its belts once again and it’s the elderly that will be affected. Over 11 million old age pensions risk loosing their bus passes as it is deemed too expensive.

From Wednesday free bus passes that have been issued to the elderly and disabled will no longer be accepted on many routes across England. They will have to pay for all their coach travel, park and ride busses and open top tour buses.

The government has spent more than £1 billion funding the passes, however in today’s climate cut backs need to be made. If local authorities have had to increase council tax or cut services.
