Business insurance used for timber fire

The loss of stock and equipment caused by a fire is a business' worse nightmare and many tradesmen insure their vital tools just encase of the fiery peril. Similarly the two businesses that owned the Rackheath Industrial Estate warehouse in Norwich on Monday 24 August will also have to claim on his business insurance to recuperate their losses.

Ten fire engines battled with the fire that decimated and completely destroyed the warehouse and as the fire service explained later their main concern was to stop the blaze from spreading throughout the rest of the industrial estate.

The flames consumed 20 tonnes of timber used for making windows also powered the fire further by providing additional fuel, likewise the warehouse also housed several different pots of paint and chemicals used for treating the timber which provided a hazardous task for the fire-fighters as they exploded with the heat pressure.
