A train driver has received £4000 in compensation after he tripped and injured his knee.
Tube drivers had warned their bosses that the footpath they used was badly lit and had wires everywhere. Bosses ignored the complaints until the driver injured himself.
The man stepped out of the tube and onto the path when he fell, he did not see a loose cable and fell onto his right knee. He was off work for several weeks and had to cancel their family holiday, as he could not travel. He received £4000 in compensation after the courts found that his employers let him down.
They had an obligation to look after their staff and to insure their safety at all times which was clear they never did as no complaints were rectified or any changes made to the day to day running of the tube station.
