Horse equipment stolen from livery yard

Equestrian equipment, worth more than £30,000 has been stolen from a livery yard on Stapleton Park Estate, Stapleton, in Pontefract leading to a major police investigation.

The equipment was stolen by thieves on or around Sunday October 4. Over 30 saddles and 40 bridles were taken, along with other horse riding accessories, including hats and boots. Ten boxes of worming tablets were also taken by the thieves.

Thieves maybe trying to sell on the stolen items, including horse feed; police are requesting that anyone who has any leads on the equestrian gear, or has been offered the accessories or feed, to contact them immediately.
