House lost in lottery scam

Police are warning of bogus lottery scams that are occurring across Great Britain, resulting in large sums of money being lost and in one case a man lost his house. The warning comes after a man in South West Scotland gave out his bank details after he received notification that he had won the lottery. This resulted in the man loosing his house after large sums of savings where taken from him. Numerous warnings have been issued by the region’s Fraud and Financial Investigation Unit about such scams.
