New house sales pick up

Persimmon, the UK’s biggest home Building Company has reported that house sales are increasing compared to this time last year as people begin to take advantage of the falling prices.

In the first half of 2009, 4,0006 new homes were purchased from the company, down by 27. Giving the company a bleak outlook on the year ahead, however over recent weekly sales have been ahead of last year’s figures.

Unfortunately revenue for the business has fallen from £625m to £373m this year, however with the new sales figures pilling in, the company is looking to pick up.
