Overturned caravan on M62 causes disruption

Further chaos ensued on the M62 last night after an over turned caravan caused massive queues near Ainley top. Fortunately no one was injured in this incident, but id did cause massive disruption eastbound towards junction 24 around 6.30pm.

Highway officials had reduced the speed to 40mph and traffic had to be restricted to just two lanes while the carnage was cleared. A spokeswoman for the Highways Agency said the motorway was re-opened at around 7.30pm after all the debris has been cleared.
