Paralysed man awarded yearly payout

A man who was involved in a road accident five years ago leaving him paralysed has been awarded a sum of £260,000 on an annual basis.

The accident happened when the gentleman was travelling on his bike and was hit by a man driving who was not insured. The man was left paralysed from the neck down.

The £260,000 that has been awarded is on an index linking scheme so this figure may fluctuate year on year.

At present the man is awaiting to here a ruling concerning a lump sum.
