A reserve of £10,000 has been placed on a personalised registration place by the Driver and Vehicle Licence Agency which goes under auction later this month.
The number plate, 1 O is very popular among enthusiast and is one of the 30 million held by the DVLA that is up for grabs.
The reserve is the highest that the DVLA have ever put on a number plate but are confident that this will be exceeded when it goes under hammer on a three day event on the 28th January at Whittlebury Hall, Northamptonshire.
