The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents has successfully launched a new campaign, which aims at improving health and safety worldwide.
The telecommunications firm Cable & Wireless sent eight delegates to the course, which ran for four days and educated on awareness of health and safety at work. For participating in the programme the company received a NEBOSH Award in workplace health and safety. The programme itself is aimed at companies that trade globally in or outside the UK and targets its courses at representative delegates from different companies.
The courses also help companies archive the NEBOSH National general Certificate and the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
The general manager for workplace safety at RoSPA, John Lester said: "RoSPA has a rich history of offering training for NEBOSH qualifications and we are proud to have been chosen to pilot the new NEBOSH Award in Workplace Health and Safety. The UK has one of the best systems in the world for preventing accidents and ill health at work, and this new scheme will enable firms in other countries to benefit from this expertise in a highly-accessible way."
