Royal mail changes not helping small businesses

The changes to the royal mail morning collections are hitting small businesses financially and it is expected to get worse when more post offices and sub post offices close in the near future.

According to the Forum of Private Business (FPB) the restructuring of the royal mail is having a detrimental effect on small businesses, not just those that use the service but also those like newsagents, that have sub post offices, which will lose revenue when they close.

However Postwatch, the postal service watchdog, has said that in its current form the post office network is unsustainable and to survive in the future managed change would have to take place.
