Supermarket assistant compensated for injuries
A Supermarket Assistant has been awarded compensation after a cage full of bread fell on top of her.
The worker was moving a cage of bread, which was 10 trays high, when one of the wheels became defective, causing the six feet high cage to topple over. The trays of bread fell on the back of the woman hitting her in the head neck and shoulders, resulting in a severe whiplash injury and damage to her ligaments, tendons and muscles.
The supermarket assistant received £45,000 for her injuries, after an orthopaedic consultant stated that the injuries in her right arm would compromise the future of her work.
