The UK transport system is at a point where it is affecting our UK businesses, through being congested and unreliable. This is according to the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).
A recent report stated that the roads were the worst part of the network getting the lowest rating and still becoming more unreliable and crowded. The CBI wants to bring in a regime where “our transport system is fit for the 21st Century”.
The Department for Transport has hinted at spending £190bn towards this problem.
The CBI wants all procedures towards improving our transport system speeded up and wants to increase promotion on private investment. They are also looking into to alternative ways on pricing to help ease congestion.
