Lower Premium, driving down the price of insurance

Welder electrocuted

A worker was welding a section of metal flooring when a fault with the equipment saw him electrocuted for 30 seconds before the power was switched off. He could have been killed in the accident.

He has recovered from his injuries, however he now suffers from posttraumatic stress and can no longer work in his trade. He has received a substantial undisclosed amount of compensation from his company.

His trade union, GMB, has urged all business to abide by health and safety regulations by making sure equipment is safe and well maintained. Electrical maintenance is vital to ensure that horrific accidents like this don’t happen again.
