Lower Premium, driving down the price of insurance

Working from home not just about time with the kids

Working from home may not be about spending more time with the kids as many would expect.

According to research undertaken by UK Online, an internet service provider, many sole traders and small businesses are frequently using the internet to keep their operating costs down and remaining flexible in the marketplace.

The report identified the main benefits to home working was the greater flexibility and reduced commuting that it offered rather than the more traditional reason of family commitments.

And with 4 in 5 small businesses stating that they use the internet for home working purposes it appears that this practice has become the norm for this sector by allowing more chances for alternatives to just working in an office.

Some challenges still remain, the most commonly cited is being the blurring of work and home life as some people find it hard to switch off from work. However having a strict working time structure in place should allow you to be flexible but also maintain a balanced work and home life.
